LEGAL NOTICE ORDINANCE NO. 2014 - 15 AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM AUTO-URBAN RESIDENTIAL (AR) TO URBAN RESIDENTIAL (UR).WHEREAS, the owners or agents of the owners of the property hereinafter described have made an application to change the zoning classification from Auto-Urban Residential (AR) to Urban Residential (UR).WHEREAS, the Altus City Planning Commission has considered said application at a Public Hearing and has made recommendation to the City Council to approve said application, and Notice of the Public Hearing has been duly given as provided by law, said Hearing has been held as provided by law and no one appeared at the Hearing in opposition to said rezoning, the Altus City Planning Commission recommended to the City Council to approve said rezoning.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE COUNCIL MEMBERS OF THE CITY OF ALTUS, OKLAHOMA:Section 1. That the following property, to-wit: A tract of land lying in the Northeast Quarter (NE1/4) of Section Eight (8), Township Two (2) North, Range Twenty (20) West of the I.M., Jackson County, Oklahoma, more particularly described as follows:Commencing at the Northeast corner of said Section Eight (8), thence South 01° 02’ West along the East line of said Northeast Quarter (NE1/4) a distance of 1235.0 feet; thence North 89° 01’ West a distance of 300.0 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence North 89° 01’ West a distance of 1287.21 feet; thence North 01° 02’ East a distance of 390.60 feet to a point on the North line of a flowage easement to the U.S.A.; thence South 89° 01’ East along said North line a distance of 963.05 feet; thence North 65° 49’ East continuing along said North line a distance of 358.30° feet; thence South 01° 02’ West a distance of 644.37 feet to the Point of Beginning, containing 12.14 acres, more or less. Said tract of land being subject to a 20 foot flowage easement to the U.S.A., also subject to a sewer easement recorded in Book 383 Page 185-186 Jackson County Clerk’s Office.which was classified as Auto-Urban Residential (AR) by the terms of the Unified Development Code of the Altus Code 1980, Ordinance No. 2007-3, be and the same is hereby re-classified as Urban Residential (UR).Section 2. That the property and all improvements are to comply with the staff recommendations contained in ACPC-14-08 Staff Report of August 14, 2014 and all zoning, building and fire codes.Section 3.
